Lance Hahn of J-Church, Cringer and Honeybear records fame passed away today. He went into a coma last weekend and never came out. At forty, he was the oldest punk guy I knew. He made me not fear getting old so much because he always seemed pretty peppy and didn't turn his back on all those things he start to believe in when you get into punk. His bands were lyrically and musically amazing. I am very pleased that J-church played at 1919 on several occasions. -rick

wednesday volunteer days
Greetings Fellows! Cri Here with a 1919 update! I will be opening up the space every wednesday noonish-3pm. This schedule is to provide a place for new volunteers a way to become involved between meetings. If you want to come help, please show up or email me .
the 1919 collective meetings are the third monday of every month at 5:30pm. we discuss past and future events, personal aspirations for the space, roles, finances, and such! please attend a meeting if you wish to play a part in the canvas that is 1919. if you would like to attend a meeting, but are unable to on monday night, please email .

Anti-War Protests Every Wednesday in Downtown Fort Worth
This weekly protest against the war has been ongoing since W's second inauguration! That's two years without missing a beat!

The 1919 Collective has endorsed this demonstration in front of the Fort Worth Municipal Courts Building and the Federal Building downtown since its inception.

pictures of Devin's altar - updated April 17, 2007
I updated the site with pictures of the memorial that Devin's mom helped rebuild as well as pictures of Devin's art that was placed on the memorial. The altar itself has been placed in storage and anyone who contributed and wants their possessions back is free to get in touch with us and arrange that. A permanent memorial is in the process of being built downstairs near the entryway.
